Fall Prairie Cup

First Nine –Starting times begin at 8:30 ~ Four-Ball(match play) -Partners play their own ball and count the best score. 1 point for each match. If the match is halved, each side splits the point.

Second Nine ~ Chapman Scotch(match play) –Both partners tee off. Partners then switch and hit each other’s ball. They then select one of the balls after both balls have been hit twice and play alternate shot from the selected ball. If partner A hits the 2ndshot with the selected ball, then partner B hits the third, etc. 1 point for each match. If the match is halved, each side splits the point.

Final Nine ~ Starting times begin at 2:00 ~ Singles(match play) -1 point for each match. If the match is halved, each player splits the point.

NOTE CONCERNING MATCH PLAY: The player or side that is farther from the hole must play their stroke first. Strokes may not be played out of order except by partners (balls belonging to the same side may be played in the order the side considers best). If a player plays when his opponent should have played, the opponent may immediately require the player to cancel the stroke and play another ball without penalty, before any other stroke is played. The player or side may invite the opponent to play out of turn or may agree to the opponent’s request to play out of turn.

USGA Rules of Golf govern all play except where modified by the Local Rules. Play the ball as it lies! Tees to be determined by the past year course captains.

There are 24 points available. Winner team from last year needs12 points to retain the Cup. Other Team needs 12 ½ points to win the Cup.
